Summer in Vallelunga in Upper Venosta Valley at the Pass of Resia: blue lakes, impressive glaciers, hiking in the valley or guided glacier- and mountain tours, cycling, mountain biking or nordic-walking and climbing-garden. An idyllic place for people who search relaxation.
In spring a dream of blossoming, known all around: as soon as the snow melts, just bloom the “krokuss”-flowers white as snow from the ground. One doesn’t know where to go without drop a curtsy the flowers.
The summer starts with the blossoming of the “alprose”-flower: a dream. “Alproses” wherever the eye looks! Here you can still find a unique alp-flora, green fields, a clean and intact nature with the treeline about 2300 m..
In the next environs there is: kite-surf, surf at the lake of Resia, swimming pool, crazy golf, tennis and squash-halls, inline-skating courses, fishing waters (lakes, rivers and ponds), climbing garden, horse riding and carriage runs.
The Upper Venosta Valley offers several possibilities to get to know something about our history and culture: the museum of Curon tells the story of the building of the artificial lake with impressive pictures. Visit the historic city of Glorenza with its medieval city-wall, it is the smallest city of Europe.
Visit the castle of “Chur” with its worldwide known room with suits of armour and medieval armaments or visit the monastery of “Marienberg (mountain-mary)” with its good preserved roman frescos.
